ABOUT
MESQUIN works with the body, where desire,
shame and psychological pain merge.
He translates emotions and dreamt dialogues into forms rather than words.
He is not trying to make things “pretty”, but to express what disturbs
and clings to the skin.
His imperfect busts breasts and figures are fragments very human,
skin-sensitive, that refuse perfection.
Words are not his thing, but rather emotional energy through
the brush that speaks for him.
"To tell the truth, I don't like words or intellectual explanations. If I wanted to take you in that direction, I would write a book. There's none of that here."

PORTOFOLIO / ESSAYS
This series of busts is the beginning of a long series. It addresses themes such as psychological pain, female menstruation, and the notion of desire that men feel for the female body. Half man, half pig. A constant desire and a contradiction of the sexes, through sex. This is the starting point for the second act, the man, the pig, who becomes confused in his desire, reflecting his own image through the desired body. It is no longer a bust but a face that appears, and the line between them is thin.
